Getting into Green Series: Understanding LEED and Green Building Certification programs:

The one sector of the residential building industry that is currently experiencing solid growth is the design and construction of environmentally conscious homes. Two national programs that certify a home’s true environmental impact are The US Green Building Council’s LEED Certification program and the National Association of Home Builders Green Building Certification.

This 1-hour course will cover the point system for a residence obtaining a Green Building certification and the role of the electronic systems contractor within the program.

By the end of this course students should be able to:

• List the point system for Green Building Certification
• Detail the ESC’s impact on a Green Building project.
